Who we are

Websiter, run by Ingmar Lindström, Tallinn, Estonia.

Ingmar Lindström is the data controller: he decides how the information below is used and is responsible for it.

What we use for outreach

Before we write to a business, we look at what that business has already made public:

• the business name, and the owner's or practitioner's name as the business shows it;
• the business email address and phone number;
• the town, services, prices and opening hours shown on its website, booking page, Google listing or social pages;
• its logo and public photos, used only on its private preview page;
• its entry on a public company register.

We use this to make one private preview page and to send a short email about it. We also keep the emails we send and any reply.

We do not buy contact lists, we do not use tracking pixels in our emails, and we do not sell or share these details with anyone for their own marketing.

We never ask for, see or handle patients' details, before or after a business becomes a client.

Why we are allowed to

We rely on legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f), and similar rules where you are): offering a website service to a business, using its public business contact details.

We only send these emails to limited companies and similar corporate bodies, at their business address.

We keep each approach small: one letter, and at most two short follow-ups.

How to opt out

Reply 'remove' (or 'no thanks') to any of our emails, or write to partners@websiter.it.

We stop straight away, and we take down your preview page within 24 hours.

We then keep only your email address and business name on a do-not-contact list, so we never write to you again.

How long we keep it

• If you don't become a client, we delete your details and preview page within 12 months of our last email.
• If you opt out, we keep only the do-not-contact entry described above.
• If you become a client, we keep what we need while we look after your site. Invoices and payment records are kept for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.

Who else handles it

Our email runs on Google Workspace, and our preview pages are hosted by our website provider. Payments are handled by Stripe. They process data only on our behalf.

We count page visits with GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly tool that uses no cookies and stores no personal data.

Your rights

Under data protection law, such as the GDPR, you can ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
• correct it;
• delete it;
• restrict how we use it;
• stop using it. For direct marketing, your right to object is absolute: we will always stop.

You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live. Our lead authority is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee).
